This location is well kept and clean. There are occasionally free events going on depending on the day. One time there was a group from some military museum with a bunch of different gear set up in the lobby. Guns, ammo, radios, patches, uniforms all from various wars/branches of military. Around Christmastime there was a play based of Dickens "a Christmas carol". And great projects in the children's area like "send a thank you to a veteran" that was for Veterans Day for example. My kids have loved every event we've attended! Everyone I've encountered is helpful and friendly. The library has great hours too; it's even open on Sunday!
Terrific kid's section and staff if you have a kid. Nice audio collection, and it extends beyond what you can find at the HQ, so check the online catalog. Nice video collection as well. And we've taken advantage of free admission to several of the museums they partner with.
They don't help you fax. I followed instructions on the phone it took me ten minutes. Then I hit start and the automated voice disappeared. Never going back here again. A library his big doesn't even have a regular fax machine
Ben Franklin, a local of some renown around these parts, reportedly invented the concept of a public library. Thank goodness. Burlington does it right, with a very nice (newly renovated) headquarters facility and, by all accounts, some damn nice branches as well. The staff here is very helpful, though most of them are quite formal. (What'd you expect, it's a LIBRARY!)
This is the second time I come over the first one the front desk staff was very rude, we try a second time and there's no much help from the librarians neither
Beautiful, spacious library in a modern building that looks a little like a renovated barn. Staff is friendly and there is an excellent children's section.
